Nebraska Medicine’s Bellevue Medical Center serves Bellevue and surrounding communities with a full spectrum of inpatient and outpatient services. The 265,000 square foot facility opened in 2010 and was designed to be one of the Midwest’s most energy efficient hospitals at the time.
Optimized Systems worked with Nebraska Medicine’s facility and engineering team to convert the entire top floor of the hospital into isolation rooms in anticipation of a surge in COVID-19 patients. Optimized Systems assessed existing mechanical equipment configurations, made modifications and reprogramming the mechanical system controls to achieve critical negative pressures in the patient rooms while maintaining proper air balancing throughout the rest of the hospital. Optimized Systems will be monitoring and helping to maintain system performance for the duration of the coronavirus outbreak.
