Our Mission
Founded in 2014, Optimized Systems is an Omaha-based specialty engineering and energy sustainability firm. Our primary mission is to help building owners and managers achieve and maintain the optimum balance of occupant comfort and safety, building performance and energy efficiency. As a fully-independent firm, we don’t sell equipment or building automation systems and we are not a subsidiary of any design or engineering firm. We have no competing interests. Our recommendations are always based on what’s best for you and your building occupants. That is our only focus.
Our Culture
Optimized Systems understands the impact climate change is having on our planet and our future. Reducing energy use is typically the first step towards achieving your emission reduction goals. With short ROIs, the efficiencies gained can quickly move you closer to attaining your goals and the savings can be applied to future energy projects or renewables.

Optimized Systems is committed to reducing our own emissions. We have done several things to reduce our carbon footprint and strive to do more.
Our Office:
Has a programmable HVAC system Night and weekend setbacks in place
Has 100% LED lighting Motion sensors to turn lights off in common spaces
Uses natural lighting Uses timers to turn screens off in conference rooms
Uses EPEAT certified devices Set external monitors and copier to sleep when not in use
Uses a tankless hot water heater Has low-flow toilets and faucets
Purchases products in bulk to reduce packaging Is conveniently located along several city bus lines and close to bike-share stations
Has reusable coffee mugs, glasses, silverware, & dishes; no disposables
Our Team:
Has flexible work schedules/locations to reduce driving
Recycles paper, cardboard, plastic, & glass; working to add composting
Is encouraged to use the stairs instead of the elevator (and does!)
