Career Summary

Melanie is a passionate sustainability professional with more than 10 years of experience planning, strategizing, implementing, and managing a variety of sustainability programs and initiatives involving some of the most recognizable organizations and institutions in the Omaha community. From energy conservation to recycling, Melanie has led efforts that produced nationally recognized results in the reduction of energy and water consumption, as well as a reduction in CO2 emission equivalents. Melanie is known for her organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, all of which amplify her primary focus: reducing harmful emissions to make the world a better place for all.

Personal

Melanie is a former president of the Green Omaha Coalition and was the first sustainability manager for the University of Nebraska Medical Center/Nebraska Medicine.  She loves being outside, hiking, and visiting national parks, and is currently learning to can produce from her ever-growing garden.
