Certifications & Licenses: Alerton Ascent certified engineer, Alerton BACtalk certified engineer, ABB start-up, Phoenix Controls certification, Key2Act start-up, OSHA 10 license, and Universal Refrigeration license.
Experience:10-plus years of installing, maintaining, repairing, and programming HVAC systems of all sizes. He has supported sustained building performance and energy conservation for myriad diverse clients across metro Omaha.

Summary

When John joined Optimized Systems, he brought with him more than a decade of experience at other companies, working within the HVAC/Controls “space.” John’s a quick study. Coupled with his drive to keep customers happy and comfortable — through the HVAC systems that he knows best – John’s experience and quickness on the uptake make him a great fit and considerable asset within our team.

Personal

Here, our clients keep John busy. Away from work, though, it is John’s family that keeps him on his toes. You’ll likely find him around town, proudly cheering on his son or daughter at their sporting events. Or, you might find him kicking back at the fishing hole or a local concert, or kicking up dust in his woodshop. When not on the town, John and his family are likely traveling and exploring elsewhere. You have to act fast to keep up with the Smays!
